Tweet for Health Reform

A Healthy Tweet is Health Care For All's twitter campaign to raise awareness about the importance of health reform.  Our goal is to raise $5,000, during the month of October, to support our HelpLine - a free service for people who need help navigating the  Massachusetts health care system.  Recently the HCFA HelpLine has been flooded with phone calls and we need your help to keep it running.

Every week HCFA's HelpLine answers hundreds of calls from people who have lost their health insurance or who need help signing up for government benefits programs.  Our counselors take calls in three languages; English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Many of our callers are recently unemployed, suffering from chronic disease or are just plain confused about how to get the medical care they need.  HCFA's HelpLine counselors listen to people's concerns and assist them in finding the programs that are right for them.

How do I participate?

Tweet - Tweet why health reform is important to you.

• Share with your followers a health reform fact or a personal story.  Be sure to include the #ahealthytweet tag and a link to http://tinyurl.com/4reform
• Also use the hashtag for health care reform - #hcr - so your tweet gets picked up by others interested in supporting health reform.

Donate - Make a donation to support health reform. 

• Every little bit helps us reach our goal of $5,000.  Your gift will make it possible for people to get the answers they need so that they can get the care they deserve.
• Your gift of $100 or more will get you named on our Healthy Heroes list.

• Follow @ahealthytweet and your twitter stream will gather stories and important information related to health reform.
