Monday, April 27, from 10 - 12, at 1 Ashburton Place, 21st floor (click <a href="http://here for directions), is the next Mass HIT Council stakeholder meeting. The purpose of these stakeholder meetings is to hear from healthcare stakeholders about their ideas for leveraging the federal stimulus money to help with the statewide implementation of electronic health records, mandated by Chapter 305 -- the Massachusetts "cost containment" law -- to be completed by January 1, 2015. Monday's meeting will focus on Public Health issues, but all testimony is welcomed, and you are invited to attend to listen, as well. Secretary JudyAnn Bigby will be presiding.
Tuesday, April 28, from 10 - 12, at Worcester City Hall, Levi Lincoln Chamber, 455 Main Street, Worcester (click here for directions), will be the final Mass HIT Council stakeholder meeting. Council members Lisa Fenichel and Dave Szabo will preside. Written testimony is also welcomed. Please e-mail it to email@example.com by 5 pm, Tuesday, April 28.
Wednesday, April 29, 11:45 - 1:00, at Health Care For All, 30 Winter Street (click here for directions) 9th floor, as part of the Consumer Network for Healthcare e-Quality Lunch series, the public premiere of a consumer education video will be shown. The vidoe, Balancing Risks and Benefits: Sharing Sensitive Health Information, focuses on the electronic sharing of behavioral health information. Jerilyn Heinold and Diane Stone, directors of HISPC (Health Information Security and Privacy Collaborative), of which the video is a part, will be on hand for a discussion afterwards. PLEASE RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, April 27, 5 pm.
See you next week!
