We are advocates, policy experts and consumers.
Health Care For All (HCFA) is a Massachusetts nonprofit advocacy organization working to create a health care system that provides comprehensive, affordable, accessible, and culturally competent care to everyone, especially the most vulnerable among us. We achieve this as leaders in public policy, advocacy, education and service to consumers in Massachusetts.
Health Care For All takes a unique approach, leveraging direct service, policy development, coalition building, community organizing, public education and outreach achieve our mission.
Our HelpLine fields calls every year from people who need to connect to coverage. We work to answer health insurance questions, troubleshoot issues with state insurance programs and make appropriate referrals. From the calls Health Care For All receives, we monitor the trends and develop public policy to address the health care challenges of state residents.
We work with state, federal, and local administrations to improve our health care system. We convene and are a part of many coalitions to address specific issues.
Our coalitions have had great success. From Massachusetts health reform in 2006 to payment and delivery system reform in 2012 and beyond, Health Care For All always plays an important role in catalyzing meaningful change. Our advocacy team builds relationships with key decision-makers, but we know that real power comes from the bottom-up. That's why we organize -- person by person -- to develop new health care leaders who make their voices heard.
